60 Years on…A classic E-Type Restoration

Almost 60 years to the day from it’s start on the production line, this E-Type has finished its restoration program at ASM Classics. Starting its life on the 10th November 1961, the car left the factory as one of the early flat floor models. Originally exported to Jaguar New York the E-Type later found it’s way back to the UK.

The car arrived at ASM Classics in 2019 as an almost complete original car and recently underwent a full bare metal restoration back to heritage specification. The car has full matching numbers and retains many of the original period features including thicker rear driveshafts, unique rear hub carriers, Butler lights, three post throttle linkage and original Bees and GKN Blackened Bolts.
